Product Description

This AISI H13 Tool Steel features high harden- ability, excellent wear resistance and toughness. This steel features good thermal and shock resistance. In addition, it can also tolerate water cooling in service. This steel grade is best known for its great homogeneity and an exceptionally fine structure, resulting in improved machine-ability, polish-ability and high temperature tensile strength. It is highly recommended for use in a variety of hot work applications including extrusion tools, pressure die casting tools, hot shear blades, forging dies, plastic molds and stamping dies. In addition, it is also great for aluminum die-casting tools and plastic mold tools requiring a very high polish.
